The brief

Innes England has a long-standing relationship with PKF Cooper Parry and was appointed to represent the firm to secure its new premises to accommodate the company’s 200-strong team. Moving three offices to one location in the spring of 2014 was a challenge and it was essential to deliver the right premises for the company’s needs.

Our solution

Innes England worked closely with PKF Cooper Parry to find a property to offer the space and specification the firm was looking for in an ideal location. New 25,000 sq ft premises were secured at Pegasus Business Park in Castle Donington.

Expert building surveying advice was given to provide support and facilitate the letting by identifying and agreeing building repairs and improvements that the landlord should provide. We continued to provide support throughout PKF Cooper Parry’s specialist fit-out of the property by performing the role of contract administrator and employers’ representative. We took control of all contractual matters on behalf of the client while also acting as the single point of contact between the client and contractor. This enabled us to oversee all changes to the project and to ensure information was shared between the parties.

As the project progressed, we chaired regular site meetings, carried out frequent site monitoring inspections to ensure compliance with the contract documentation, progress and quality. The certification of payments to the contractor and final snagging and sign off inspections was also undertaken to ensure the client could have peace of mind by minimising the risk of project delays and cost over-runs.

Following the substantial £1.7m refurbishment project of the former 25,000 sq ft call centre, PKF Cooper Parry opened its new super office ‘Skyview’ on time and to budget.
