On Sunday 25 September 2016, we join thousands of runners in the iconic Ikano Robin Hood Marathon. Surveyor John Hartshorne completed a triathlon this summer so he's feeling ready to take on 13.1 miles for the first time. A recent injury has set training back a bit and John is just hoping to finish the race faster than his fiancée

Q. Are you a regular runner?

A. Not really, I’ve recently being training for a triathlon so I’ve had to run a little more regularly than I normally would, but only for a 5k.

Q. How are you honing your training? Are you doing anything different in preparation?

A. I’ve injured my knee so I’m doing some low impact training such as swimming and cycling (every little helps!)

Q. Have you got any personal goals to beat?

A. My fiancée has already entered the half and I’m looking to beat her. Apart from that…I just want to finish.

Q. Why have you entered the Corporate Challenge?

A. It’s always good to have something to train for and I like a challenge.
