Richmond Villages, part of private healthcare provider Bupa, is bringing forward the comprehensive development of the Former Aston Hall Hospital which will be turned into a high end residential care facility and 74 new private housing units

The site, which is located on Maple Drive within the affluent commuter village of Aston on Trent, currently comprises a variety of vacant and derelict buildings which will be demolished by Richmond Villages, who plan to start work on site immediately.

On completion Richmond Villages will operate a Care Retirement Community comprising 60 care bedrooms, 49 care suites and 76 care apartments.

As part of the planning, consent has also been obtained for 74 private residential units in approximately six acres as a single lot, which Innes England will be selling and have now placed on the open market.

Paddy Brice at Richmond Villages said: “We are looking forward to commencing our development and working with Innes England who have a good understanding of the market to secure a disposal of this nature to the right purchaser”.

Director at Innes England, Matthew Hannah, said: “The site has a special atmosphere with parkland and existing woodlands and we expect strong demand from national, regional and local house builders in the private housing sector”.
