Key Notts development site up for grabs at MIPIM

DEVELOPERS will be given the opportunity to get their hands on one of the most high profile development sites in Nottingham at MIPIM this week.

Innes England has been appointed by Central College Nottingham to dispose of their 2.8 acre site on Maid Marian Way – and will be looking for buyers in Cannes.

Directors Tim Garratt and Matthew Hannah are part of Team Nottingham who will be representing the city at the 25-year anniversary event.

Tim said: “MIPIM is the perfect platform for us to get in front of international developers and show them what Nottingham has to offer – and the Central College Nottingham site is a great example of that.

“It is very unusual for a freehold site of this size to become available in the city centre and this is arguably one of the best to come to market in recent years.

“The location is perfect; sitting right below Nottingham Castle, to the west of city centre shops, bars and restaurants and adjacent to intu Broadmarsh, which is due to be redeveloped and upgraded from 2015 – strategically it is hugely important.

“Nottingham City Council has aspirations for a first class mixed use scheme to include leisure and offices on a site which will play a key role in the regeneration in this area of the city centre, and we, alongside the city council, will be actively promoting it at MIPIM.

“We already have meetings set up with international developers to discuss the opportunity this week and are fully expecting a great deal of interest in this particular site.”

Team Nottingham – a combination of city council leaders and private sector companies – is heading to MIPIM in Cannes in order to attract leading developers and investors from across the globe – and market Nottingham’s growing opportunities.

Innes England is among the private sector sponsors, which includes Rizk McCay, Cartwright Communications, Morgan Tucker, and Gleeds. Also in the line-up are UK Regeneration, Lewis & Hickey, property consultants FHP, CPMG, Couch Perry Wilkes (CPW), Geldards, Miller Birch and Willmott Dixon.
