Innes England to manage prestigious Nottingham building

A proven track record in mixed use projects has secured the management of one of Nottingham’s landmark buildings by Innes England.

The Axis Building on Upper Parliament Street is owned by Henry Boot Developments Ltd which appointed Innes England following a competitive tender.

The former Co-operative department store, in the heart of the city, was transformed in 2007 into a development offering retail, leisure, office and residential accommodation and Henry Boot Developments Ltd believes Innes England can ensure it plays a key role in the city going forward.

James Greenaway, director at Henry Boot Developments Ltd said: “The Axis Building is a 200,000 sq ft mixed use scheme and requires an experienced team to manage the building to achieve maximum occupier satisfaction.

“We appointed Innes England as the team demonstrated a strong track record in managing mixed use projects of this nature.”

The £8m redevelopment of the five-storey building was named Mixed Use Development of the Year in the Property Week Midlands Awards and Best Commercial Development at the Nottingham Post Property Awards.

The transformation of the building involved the retention of the historically important façade but the demolition and total rebuilding of its interior to provide the mix of prime accommodation.
