AN INDEPENDENT coffee shop with ambitious plans for growth has taken the lease of a new kiosk in the popular shopping parade in Mapperley, Nottingham.
In a deal negotiated by Innes England, Alfresco has taken a lease of a new 538 sq ft purpose-built kiosk in Plains Road.
The kiosk, which was manufactured in Italy and delivered within 8 weeks, will be used by Alfresco as an Italian coffee shop offering a modern ground floor retail space with outside customer seating.
Alfresco, which already has coffee shops in West Bridgford and Southwell, is an independent family run business specialising in genuine Italian coffee and Mediterranean cuisine.
The owners, who are of Italian background, import their coffee from Italy and offer customers an authentic Italian dining experience.
Alfresco has ambitious plans for growth and plans to open further coffee shops in Nottinghamshire in the future.
Maria Digisi, one of the directors at Alfresco said: “With two existing coffee shops we are keen to expand and know that Mapperley will be a great location for our third site.
“The kiosk is just what we were looking for as we required a space that offered indoor and outdoor seating in a busy shopping district.
“I’m excited to serve our new customers in Mapperley and can’t wait to see what they think to our authentic Italian coffee.”
Ben Taylor, associate director of Innes England’s Nottingham office, acted on behalf of the landlords, Courtenay Investments.
Ben said: “Our client’s own a number of shopping parades all over the UK. Their portfolio in Mapperley includes the shops surrounding the kiosk and has been a popular destination for retailers and shoppers alike. However it was always clear there is a lack of coffee shops and eateries in Mapperley.
Following discussions with the landlord it was decided to try and utilise the land fronting their shops and install a kiosk. Maria and the team have a unique offering and is the perfect solution to the problem in the area. I’m sure she will continue to experience great success in Mapperley.”
