INNES ENGLAND has strengthened its offering across Derby, Nottingham, and Leicester with the appointment of six new team members.
The recent additions include fully qualified chartered surveyor Claire Garrett and four graduate surveyors - Lewis Smith, Kate Richardson, John Hartshorne and Enfys Thomas. Richard Bielby will also join the firm for a year while on a student placement.
Robert Hartley, Innes England’s managing director, said: “I’m delighted we have taken on six new team members to bolster the line ups across our three offices.
“At Innes England we like to grow our own talent. It is vital that businesses continue to take on graduates and work with universities – and we are pleased to boost our growing teams across the region with emerging talent.”
Claire Garrett, an RICS registered valuer, joins Innes England as a fully qualified chartered surveyor. She achieved a first time pass of the RICS Assessment of Professional Competency in 2010 and has previously worked as a general practice surveyor at Boxall, Brown and Jones. Her new role will focus on professional services work including lease renewal and rent reviews. She will also assist on agency and management matters.
Richard Bielby is studying real estate at Sheffield Hallam University and is on a sandwich year. He has carried out work placements at an architects’ practice, and with a property consultant and developer as well as completing a previous work placement at Innes England’s Derby office. Richard will be joining the agency team at the firm’s Nottingham office.
Graduates Lewis, Kate, John and Enfys will now embark on Innes’ Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) programme to become chartered surveyors.
“We are proud of our APC training programme and feel that by supporting our trainees throughout the learning process they are able to grow in confidence and build strong relationships with other team members as well as clients,” Robert added.
Lewis Smith recently graduated with an honours degree in real estate from Sheffield Hallam University and will join the agency team at Innes England’s Leicester office.
Kate recently graduated from Oxford Brookes University where she gained an honours degree in real estate management. Prior to joining Innes England, Kate worked at a number of surveying firms as well as developer Wilson Bowden. She has joined the Innes England retail team in Nottingham working with retailers across the UK.
John has a masters degree in real estate from Nottingham Trent University and has experience in both property management and commercial valuation. He has previously worked as a trainee surveyor at Barnsdales Limited and will join Innes England’s Nottingham office where he will work with the professional services team and assist MD Robert Hartley.
Enfys graduated from Nottingham Trent University this summer where she attained a first class BSc honours degree in real estate. During her placement year Enfys worked as a management surveyor at Transport for London and previously gained experience at a chartered surveyors. Enfys will be joining the Nottingham asset management team.
Innes England has been running its APC programme for more than ten years and supports its candidates throughout their studies focusing on a variety of topics such as valuation, property management and professional standards.
