Signage company displays growth in Leicester

AN EXPANDING signage firm is continuing its business growth by moving into larger premises on Meridian Business Park, confirming that the demand for good quality industrial units continues to strengthen.

Display Logistics has taken the lease of a 5,012 sq ft industrial unit on the popular business park in a deal secured by commercial property consultant Innes England.

Leicester-based Innes England acted on behalf of landlord Jelson Limited to let the property to Display Logistics, which was already based at Meridian but had outgrown its premises following on-going business growth.

Director at Innes England Peter Doleman acted on behalf of the landlord Jelson. He said: “We continue to have a great deal of interest for good quality industrial units, such as this unit at Meridian, and it is pleasing to see that Display Logistics has been able to grow and expand its premises at the same business location.”

Commenting on the industrial sector, he added: “Industrial take up was at its historical highest at 2.4m sq ft last year and the trend is continuing as we make our way through 2014. Leicester continues to perform as one of the UK’s most enterprising and successful industrial locations.”

Meridian Business Park lies on the M1/M69 interchange approximately four miles south west of Leicester city centre and close to Fosse Retail Park which boats conveniences such as Boots and Sainsbury’s.

Stuart Wilson of Jelson, which owns two units a Meridian in addition to being one of Leicestershire’s biggest residential and commercial property developers, said: “The former tenant, the Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service, had been a strong covenant so we were keen to see the premises securely re-let. We have a long-standing relationship with Innes England, having worked with them for over 30 years, so felt confident that they were well placed to source a new tenant in a timely manner. I wish Display Logistics all the best at their new Meridian base.”
