Nottingham Post Corporate Challenge: an interview with Scott Osborne

  •

Following the display of cycling prowess in June, we've entered the Corporate Challenge of the Ikano Robin Hood Marathon on September 25. In the first in a series of interviews, we meet seasoned Robin Hood half marathon runner, Scott Osborne. He's hoping to beat his time from last year by mixing up his running and attempting some challenging early morning runs.

Q. Are you a regular runner?

A. Not really, but I do try to keep fit with other exercise.

Q. How are you honing your training? Are you doing anything different in preparation?

A. I’ve started to do distance runs coupled with shorter runs in the morning - although the latter is certainly lacking. I’m managing one decent seven mile run a week.

Q. Have you got any personal goals to beat?

A. Last year I achieved one hour and 42 minutes, so an improvement would be well received.

Q. Why have you entered the Corporate Challenge?

A. I was going to enter anyway and then our Marketing Manager Alicia persuaded me to join in the team event.
