Nottingham Post Corporate Challenge: an interview with Enfys Thomas

In the second profile of our runners in the Corporate Challenge, we speak to surveyor Enfys Thomas. Enfys will be running the mini marathon and is hoping to have a good day out with her work colleagues combined with some Sunday morning exercise. She is full of optimism despite never running long distances.

Q. Are you a regular runner?

A. Not long distances. I only run short distances and combine this with other regular exercise.

Q. How are you honing your training? Are you doing anything different in preparation?

A. I joined an outdoor park fitness group back in May of this year which I attend twice a week, which has helped with my fitness.  I am going to start running more before the event as I’m not very confident in my long distance running.

Q. Have you got any personal goals to beat?

A. Overall, I just want to keep improving on my fitness and health.  It would be nice to be able to run 5K in less than half an hour.

Q. Why have you entered the Corporate Challenge?

A. I’m hoping it will be a good day out with my colleagues, combined with some light Sunday morning exercise!
