A start-up bottling business has agreed a deal on new facility in Derby, which will see several new jobs created.
Complete Bottling has agreed a deal on a 5,000 sq ft industrial unit at Raynesway Industrial Park in Derby. The business identified suitable premises in early 2015 and, with the backing of a Derby Enterprise Growth Fund (DEGF) grant and loan, was able to complete a lease on the building in June 2015, with fit-out commencing immediately. The new facility could, in time, create up to 14 full time production, clerical and sales jobs.
Kieron Atkinson, managing director of Complete Bottling, said: “Thanks to DEGF support, we have been able to go ahead with our goal of opening a bottling facility here in Derby. It will handle our own wines and sparkling wines, those of other wine and cider producers, and the real ale brewers in the city, region and beyond.
“The DEGF grant and loan has enabled us to source the best bottling equipment out there which will ensure consistent quality control. Production will start at 10,000 pints a day and we have the capacity to increase that to 15,000 pints as production increases.”
Innes England acted on behalf of Aberdeen Asset Management to agree the deal.
Stuart Waite, associate director at Innes England, handled the letting on behalf of the fund. He said: “We are delighted to have completed this letting on behalf of our client and it is fantastic to see further evidence of DEGF support leading to business growth and job creation. I feel that this is an excellent use for the building and, having identified a gap in the market, I am sure Complete Bottling will flourish once the new facility is open.
“The Raynesway Industrial Park scheme has excellent transport links both regionally and nationally with easy access to the M1 via the A52 at J25 and the A50 at J24a, along with unrivalled prominence from the busy A6/A511. This, along with the quality of the property, meant it was an obvious choice for Complete Bottling. We now only have one vacant unit on the estate, totalling approximately 5,000 sq ft.”
