Innes England supports women in property at WREN event

Innes England will continue to bring together women in the property sector by supporting a series of on-going events run by the Women’s Real Estate Network (WREN).

WREN is a property networking event for women and has been supported by Innes England since its inception in 2009.

Created by Nottingham-based events organisation RSViP Business Network, WREN has a network of 600 women with 40 official members which include eight committee members.

WREN events are held every six to eight weeks with the next event taking place on Thursday 26 September, 12pm until 2pm at the Mercure Hotel in Nottingham.

Jude Weston, associate director at Innes England and a WREN committee member, said: “The aim of WREN is to encourage women in the East Midlands property sector to network and attend regular informative seminars that cover a range of commercial related topics.

“When attending the sessions not only can participants learn about current topics in the property industry but members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors can also collect benefit from the events counting towards continuing professional development (CPD) points as they will be learning new skills and updating their knowledge of the industry.”

The next WREN event will cover dilapidation, right to light and party wall issues and will be presented by Stephen Dobinson, director of Nottingham-based Arc Building Consultancy.

Fiona Duncan, director of RSViP and WREN said: “It’s been fantastic having Innes England’s support. The firm has helped us to develop the network and to introduce new topics which are of relevance. We look forward to hosting the next event and are always open to welcoming new members on board.”

WREN members can attend the seminars for free and non-members can attend at the cost of £10. Refreshments will be served on the day.
