International rail consultancy Interfleet Consulting is expanding its Derby base after signing a deal for a 6,000 sq ft office at 3 Pride Place on Pride Park. The new premises will complement the company’s existing Interfleet House headquarters.
The new office, which offers Grade A space was built by renowned Derby developer Cedar House Investments, will see Interfleet share 3 Pride Place with banking giant HSBC. Interfleet’s lease runs until 2017.
Interfleet’s expansion into 3 Pride Place comes after a sustained period of new hires in Derby, and at the start of a new era for the company, with long-standing Managing Director David Rollin recently retiring and making way for Richard George.
Interfleet is also celebrating another award win after landing the coveted ‘Best GSM-R Supplier of the Year’ title at the 5th Network Rail GSM-R Industry Update Event, held at the Tower Hotel in London recently.
Nick Hosking, director of property agent Innes England which completed the deal, said: “We’re delighted to be involved in ensuring Interfleet continues to grow and remains one of Derby’s biggest and most important employers.
“There was competitive interest in the space which isn’t surprising given the quality of the scheme and location within the heart of Pride Park. It’s a great deal for Interfleet ensuring much need expansion space for the company and also excellent news for Derby’s reputation as an important hub of the rail industry. We wish Interfleet all the best in their new office and look forward to watching the company grow further.”
