AN EXPANDING rehabilitation treatment centre is opening new premises in Leicester, which will be the first facility of its kind in the Midlands.
The Perry Clayman Project (PCP) has taken the lease of a 2,500 sq ft period property on Upper New Walk in the city centre in a deal secured by commercial property consultant Innes England.
PCP is a residential treatment centre providing rehabilitation support for alcohol and drug users. With clinics already established in Luton, Chelmsford and Clapham, the Leicester clinic is its first foray into the northern market.
Perry Clayman, CEO of PCP said: “We offer a tailored program to treat drug and alcohol abuse over a two to 12 week period delivered through a twelve step abstinence based programme.
“We have been looking to set up a quasi-residential clinic in the Midlands for a while and the property on Upper New Walk is perfect for us as it was previously used as a clinic so the layout and set up of the space is exactly what we were looking for.
“The location of the property is ideally placed as it’s in the city centre and close to the train station plus it’s on a lovely tree lined street which is a welcoming and calm environment for our clients.
“We will be practising towards the end of July and have already received a lot of interest from clients and the local community who welcome this kind of facility to the area.”
Peter Doleman, director at Innes England said: “PCP Ltd had been looking for the right premises across the Midlands for a while and ideally suited Perry’s requirements. Not only is it set up ready for the firm to move in but the relevant planning is already in place.
“This area of the city continues to be popular and Upper New Walk is an ideal location for many businesses with its access to the city centre and transport links. I wish Perry and his team well for the future.”
PCP Ltd continues to see a rise in the demand for its rehabilitation services across the country and has ambitious growth plan – aiming to open a new site every two years.
158 Upper New Walk is located within the professional area of Leicester and comprises a three-story property with dedicated car parking.
