*Graduate Surveyors*

We've been investing in young talent in the East Midlands for over 25 years - giving graduates a unique balance of support and freedom they can only find at a place like Innes England. We have exciting openings for FOUR graduates. These are entry-level positions which offer opportunities to gain experience in all aspects of commercial surveying 

1. Management

Working alongside directors and senior chartered surveyors, you'll join a busy team managing over 200 commercial properties for a national retailer and private clients, taking responsibility for your own workload.

You'll be an energetic and client-focused recent graduate - or about to graduate this summer - with a good, relevant RICS-accredited degree. Based in Derby, you'll also need to hold a full driving licence and be prepared to travel from time to time.

 

2. Building Surveying 

Primarily based in our Nottingham office and working alongside directors and senior chartered surveyors, you'll join a busy team, working across the East Midlands region.

Key responsibilties include

  • carrying out schedules of condition surveys
  • measured surveys  
  • design work
  • project management, taking responsibility for your own workload.

You will have completed, or be close to completing, a relevant degree (2:1 or above). 

You'll be an energetic and client-focused person with good interpersonal skills, preparing for Chartered status. You'll also need to hold a full driving licence. Experience of AutoCAD would be an advantage.

 

3. Agency

Based in Nottingham, the successful candidate will work closely with directors and senior chartered surveyors, disposing and acquiring a range of commercial property.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • assisting with the disposal and acquisition of properties across the East Midlands region 
  • meeting both clients and prospective applicants to discuss their property needs and requirements
  • collating evidence to provide informed advice to prospective clients 
  • networking with prospective clients and applicants 

You will be a recent graduate - or about to graduate this summer with a good, relevant, RICS-accredited degree. Ideally, you will also have gained some practical work experience in commercial surveying. 

 

4. Professional

We're looking for a motivated self-starter who is preparing to qualify as a Chartered Surveyor. The successful candidate will work closely with directors and senior chartered surveyors, inspecting, researching, valuing and advising on a wide range of residential and commercial property. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • assisting with accurate measured inspections 
  • taking photographs of properties and premises 
  • lease appraisals 
  • varied aspects of research and report writing 

You will be a recent graduate - or about to graduate this summer with a good, relevant, RICS-accredited degree. Ideally, you will also have gained some practical work experience in commercial surveying.  You'll be energetic with strong interpersonal skills and a good level of English and maths. 

Based in Leicester, you'll be expected to travel across the region and you must have a valid UK driving licence.

Property Management Surveyor - Derby

We have an exciting opportunity for a Property Management Surveyor with a commercial approach.

You’ll be joining a supportive team managing over 200 commercial properties for a national retailer and working with a range of clients. You’ll also have the ability to work autonomously and manage your own work load.

Key responsibilities include:

  • overseeing rent reviews, lettings, lease renewals and lease re-gears on behalf of clients
  • management of rental and other monies due
  • dealing with tenant applications for consents to assign, sub-let and alter 
  • ensuring tenant compliance with lease obligations in relation to use and repairing obligations
  • preparing and administering service charge budgets and expenditure
  • ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, including Health and Safety 
  • liaising with clients’ solicitors and other consultants 

You’ll be a personable professional with excellent communications skills and gravitas with clients. 

You must hold a relevant, RICS-accredited degree, and post-qualification experience in Property Management is essential.

Ideally, you will have achieved Chartered Surveyor status (MRICS) but we will consider applications from experienced, non-qualified Surveyors looking to complete their APC 

Based in our Derby office, you’ll be required to travel across the UK regularly. A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.

Building Surveyor - Nottingham

We have an exciting opportunity for a Building Surveyor with broad industry experience and a passion for commercial property.

Working alongside talented surveyors at all levels, you will be joining a supportive team which covers all aspects of commercial building surveying work.

The successful candidate will enjoy a varied role, working with a range of clients. Key responsibilities include

• project management
• preparing tender documents
• preparing condition survey reports
• preparing dilapidation reports

You will be expected to advise clients, identify new business opportunities as well as maintaining strong current business relationships.

In addition to having good IT skills, you must hold a relevant, RICS-accredited degree, and post-qualification experience is essential.

Ideally, you will recently have achieved Chartered Building Surveyor status (MRICS) but applications from Building Surveyors who are looking to complete their APC are welcome.

Based in our Nottingham office, you will be expected to undertake projects across the country and you must have a valid UK driving licence.
