Trio secure agency roles for Harworth Estates

  •

Leading regeneration company Harworth Estates has appointed Knight Frank, Gent Visick and Innes England to provide full agency and development advice across its Yorkshire and Midlands property portfolio.

The trio of agencies will work with Harworth Estates, wholly owned by Harworth Group plc and one of the largest property and regeneration companies working in the North of England and the Midlands, on its extensive commercial portfolio which consists of a total of 27,000 acres across 200 sites.

Harworth’s sizeable assets include the flagship Advanced Manufacturing Park in Rotherham; the multi let Sinfin Lane Industrial Estate in Derby; rail-connected sites such as Asfordby Business Park in Melton and Gascoigne Interchange in North Yorkshire; and Gateway 36, a burgeoning commercial development where Harworth is speculatively developing a 75,000 sq. ft unit which is due to practically complete in Autumn 2016.

Headquartered at Waverley in Rotherham, it works closely with local communities, public bodies, developers and other professionals to bring life to old brownfield sites and turns derelict land and property into places where people want to be - comprising employment areas, new homes, low carbon energy and environmental projects.

Rebecca Schofield, partner at the Sheffield office of Knight Frank which will collaborate with colleagues in Leeds and Birmingham on the Harworth portfolio, said: "The Knight Frank team is delighted to have been appointed for this prestigious agency instruction, which fits well with our coverage across the Yorkshire and the Midlands regions. We look forward to working with Harworth across its varied commercial portfolio."

Rupert Visick, managing director at Gent Visick, said: "We are delighted to have been appointed by Harworth Estates alongside Knight Frank and Innes England to provide strategic development and agency advice.  The Yorkshire portfolio is extremely diverse with over three thousand acres and one million square feet of buildings - a number of which offer rail connections.  The opportunity to be part of a team working on such a diverse portfolio represents a fantastic challenge which we are looking forward to getting stuck into."

Nick Hosking, director from Innes England, said: "We are delighted to have been appointed to provide agency services across the Midlands, on what is a vast and varied portfolio. Given our coverage across the region, alongside our combined experience and expertise across the full spectrum of commercial property sectors, we feel we are well positioned to work alongside Knight Frank in order to add value to our client’s significant portfolio."

Dave Travis, Associate Director of Business Space at Harworth Estates, said: "We are pleased to be working with Knight Frank, Gent Visick and Innes England across our large portfolio. They all bring strong track records and experience which will complement our own team as we seek to further improve the strength of our income-producing assets and continue to increase the size of our portfolio through direct development and strategic acquisition."

Knight Frank will also partner with CBRE and Gent Visick on the 162-acre former Skelton Grange site in Leeds and join Jones Lang and Carter Towler on the 112-acre mixed use development at Wheatley Hall Road in Doncaster which Harworth Estates recently acquired.
