Innes England is celebrating after the firm was named the Most Active Agent in a prestigious national competition… for the seventh year in a row.

The agency was awarded the title in the Estates Gazette Interactive 2013 deals competition, walking away with the overall title for the seventh consecutive year.

The EGi deals competition is an independent survey conducted by their research team, which covers commercial property transactions. It is designed to establish the agents completing the largest volume of deals throughout the year.

Robert Hartley, managing director at Innes England, said: “To be named the Estates Gazette Most Active Agent across the region for the seventh time in a row is simply fantastic, and is testament to the hard work of the team. The accolade reflects our unique position, with offices across the region, which allows us to offer extensive coverage throughout the East Midlands.”

Across the region, Innes England completed more than 400 deals across the industrial, office, retail, leisure, land and investment sectors involving almost 4,000,000 sq ft of space for its clients.

Innes England was responsible for the biggest inward investment into the region during 2013, bringing American clothing giant VF Corporation to The Curve at ng2 Business Park in Nottingham, as well as a number of other significant deals.

The award also reflects a busy year for the firm in Derby, securing the largest ever pre-let of industrial space with a 632,000 sq ft warehouse let to Kuene & Nagel for Heineken at Derby Commercial Park as well as selling the 55,000 sq ft Midland House.

Success in Leicester for 2013 included the 13,000 sq ft high profile letting at Colton Square to Shakespeares following the merger with Harvey Ingram LLP.

Company directors believe that the key to seven years of success has been the firm’s in-depth knowledge of the regional market and a commitment to deliver results in order to maximise the value of client’s property

Robert added: “We pride ourselves on keeping ahead of the game in terms of what we can offer our clients, something which has been reflected in our brand new website which went live at the end of last year following significant financial investment.

“The new site is receiving upwards of 7,000 visitors a month and includes a number of features which make searching for properties and sites incredibly straightforward for users.”

The East Midlands property consultancy has enjoyed a positive start to 2014 and is working hard to lead the pack in the region once again.

“The signs of recovery in the commercial property market are clear to see, and we firmly believe that our local market knowledge and tenacity will ensure we continue in our market-leading performance throughout the year,” said Robert.

To win the award, Innes England completed hundreds of deals in all categories and size bands in the East Midlands in 2013.
