East Midlands commercial property consultancy Innes England is challenging clients and partners to a cycle race this summer as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations.

The firm, which has offices in Nottingham, Derby and Leicester, is hosting its very own Team Relay as part of Nottingham's Cycle Live Festival on June 25.

25 teams of four will battle it out during a 45-minute relay race around a one mile closed road circuit at Victoria Embankment.

Managing director, Tim Garratt said: “We’re hoping that 25 teams will enter the Team Relay - one for each year that we’ve been in business - to help us celebrate our silver anniversary. The Innes England team is already in training and we can’t wait to compete on the day alongside our clients, partners and friends!

"We’ve also arranged for everyone taking part to get some race training with former Olympic cyclist Bryan Steel which is a great chance for people to hone their cycling skills.”

As well as running the Team Relay, the company is sponsoring the Innes England City Ride which takes place on the morning of 25 June.

Tim added: “Cycle Live is a brilliant event with something for all the family. We hope that as many people as possible will saddle up and join us on the day."

Innes England is supporting its charity of the year, Alzheimer's Society as part of the celebrations and entrants are asked to make a donation to take part.

Pre-race training sessions with Olympian Bryan Steel will take place on 9 and 16 June between 6-7.30pm and 7.30-9pm at Harvey Hadden Sports Village.
