Commercial property agency Innes England is backing the University of Nottingham 2016 squash tournament that takes place this month (25-26 November).

The Innes England UoN PSA Closed 2016 will be hosted by the Students’ Union squash club at the brand new £40 million David Ross Sports Village. It will pit the country’s very best players against one another – and will also include an exhibition match featuring former world number two, Peter Marshall.

Tim Garratt, managing director at Innes England said: “I am an avid squash player and am very pleased to be able to support the University’s student club with what is set to be an exciting tournament.

“There will be some really talented players from across the country taking part, which will make for a great couple of days’ squash for people to enjoy.”

The event will take place over two days and will feature 16 players registered on the professional circuit.

Lea Van Der Zwalmen is president of the University of Nottingham Squash Club. She said: “This tournament is going to be a great way for us to showcase our amazing squash programme here at the University and we are very grateful to Innes England for their support.

“We would love to see as many people as possible come along and watch the matches on Saturday, which will include Peter’s exhibition match. Entry is free and it will be a fantastic day.”

The David Ross Sports Village is an urban collegiate athletic facility that is transformed into a world class showcase venue complete with an all-glass professional squash court, 6 glass back squash courts, live multimedia capabilities and cafeteria.
