HP moves to PKF Cooper Parry’s former Pride Park home

PRIDE Park will soon play host to a global computer giant following a deal brokered by Innes England.

The 13,000 sq ft building at Centro Place, previously occupied by business advisory firm PKF Cooper Parry, will become home to HP for a ten year term from March.

Innes England acted for PKF Cooper Parry in its forthcoming move to its new office in Castle Donington which comes following the announcement that they will merge their three regional offices – and negotiated the surrendering of the leasehold interest at Centro Place.

Robert Hartley of Innes England also arranged the re-letting of the premises to HP, which was represented by CBRE. The premises comprise grade A office accommodation situated in a prime location in the centre of Pride Park, Derby.

Robert said:  “We are delighted to have been able to secure the surrender and re-letting of PKF Cooper Parry’s offices in Derby to HP so quickly.  PKF Cooper Parry’s offices in Leicester and Nottingham are now on the market and we have already received interest, including an offer on the former.”

Ashley Hancox of CBRE, said: “HP has had a base in the city for more than 20 years, and remaining in Derby was hugely important to them in their relocation plans. They were very keen to take on a visible location. The premises at Centro Place are perfect.

“Between ourselves and Innes England, we were able to secure a favourable deal for both parties without the need to go to market, which has allowed us to move quickly in signing the deal meaning that HP will very soon be able to begin the reconfiguration works ready to house the staff that will be based there.”

Jeremy Bowler, chairman at PKF Cooper Parry, said: “We are very pleased that our former site is now making way for such a high profile firm. Although we are vacating our Derby office we still remain committed to the region and so wish Hewlett-Packard all the best in their new base.”
