The commercial property department at Fraser Brown and Innes England have worked together to assist a Nottingham based company to purchase larger premises.

Trent Instruments Ltd was established in the mid 90’s to supply pressure and temperature equipment. Their main product portfolio, which includes horns and associated equipment, is supplied to railway companies. They boast a number of blue chip companies on their client list.

Currently based in a unit on Wilford Lane Industrial Estate, the family-run company are now expanding by purchasing two units at Genesis Park. The move is a result of expansion on the back of several new client acquisitions, including contracts with train builders Bombardier and Hitachi.

Patrick Wood, managing partner at Fraser Brown handled the purchase on behalf of Trent Instruments. Patrick said “This is a unique business and it is great to see them continue to expand but still remain in Nottingham. The larger site will accommodate their growing range of specialist equipment and I wish them the best for the future.”

Malcolm Buckley, Director of Trent Instruments, said “This is a significant move for us and will enable us to continue our strategy of growth in a controlled and stable environment. We are extremely proud of our reputation and independence, which can only be enhanced by this acquisition. The timing, of this move, is perfect for the new technologies and product manufacturing lines being introduced to the company.”

Scott Osborne at Innes England was the agent involved in the move. Scott said “This transaction is a great example of a recovering market, achieving an extremely competitive rate for freehold terms. My client had an attractive product in terms of modern premises available on a freehold basis and it’s pleasing to see a Nottingham based company being able to take advantage of that and grow within the city. I wish them every success in their new premises.”
