Robert Hartley FRICS Managing Director
Professional Experience
As well as being the managing director I take on a leading role within the firm’s professional department. Whilst I have always been based in Nottingham I have extensive experience acting for large corporate occupiers throughout the UK. I specialise in valuation rating, landlord and tenant matters, as well as acquisition and disposal advice for corporate occupiers. Companies I have acted for in this respect include Northern Foods, Pendragon and The Co-operative Group.
Having qualified in 1975, I became an equity partner in the Nottingham commercial practice of Hallam Bracket in 1979. In 1987 I was made a director at Connell Wilson Ltd where I was responsible for professional services. Then in 1995 I became a director for Lambert Smith Hampton where I was national coordinator of the landlord and tenant division, before joining Innes England in 1997.
Professional Qualifications and Education Elected Member of Ratings Surveyors Association, 1980 Elected Member of RICS Panel of Arbitrators and Independent Experts, 1988
Interests Outside the office I enjoy a range of sports including golf and squash. I am on the committee of Notts Golf Club and I am a Nottingham Forest season ticket holder. I particularly enjoy family holidays in Salcombe, Devon and love to go sailing when the weather permits.
